So tomorrow is our last day in sweden, we're currently on the mixing process, so there's not much we can post. We had an amazing time in Umea but its not yet finished... we restart recording on the 2nd of july in portugal with miguel marques.

Recently Vasco participated in a song with our friends Hills have Eyes called "Tombstone" and i think it turned out great, they also have two more killer tunes from their coming ep...so check it out at their myspace site:

Today is the last day of vocal tracking, so as i write this vasco is inside tracking some "harmonies" ;) and doing the final vocal arrangements...

i'm really bored so i search the web for cool stuff and i guess i found a possible amazing artist to do our artwork, i don't think i'll be doing it this time, its cool to get a different approach from someone outside the band...i'll keep you updated on that!

So thursday was sergio, rui and jorge's last day in Umea...The only thing left to do now is vocal tracking and mixing. So me and vasco stayed back for that and it was a long day of hard work...he started singing in the morning and through out the day, wich resulted in a really sore and tired throat... So now we're enjoying three days off...relaxing, watching films and enjoying mid summer celebrations!! cheers to ragnar for taking us out and showing us a really good time in Skelleftea.

Hey! wednesday was pretty much the same as tuesday....we recorded some layers of guitars, bass or whatever other instruments we find cool on the first hours of the morning and then vasco tracks vocals during the rest of the day! We also watched portugal's game and we decided to play our own Portugal - Sweden against Eskil, Magnus, Pelle and his kids! It was great fun!! Most of us hadnt played football for years... we won but that doesnt matter really! After the game we had a lovely barbeque, a few beers and we hang out until it was time for bed!

so today was a really productive day,
me and phil tracked a bunch of guitar lines and it sounds really good! Vasco layed vocals on them and he's happy with it! so that's pretty much it! as soon as we have any more news we'll post them straight away.
PS:Vasco asks if anyone out there knows Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil to tell her he's madly in love with her! oh me and phil are completly addicted to Fight Night round 2, we've been living it intensively!

So yesterday we kept on recording guitars and bass...

Vasco tracked some vocals as well...and he is kind of "cute"...

We had a really SPICY Chilli for lunch and you have no clue of how bad it smelled later on... Jorge was the king and rui was a very close second place...we watched Steve-O "out on bail" film...and sergio made us all watch Van Wylder : "meeowwww"....tara reid is the worst actress alive. but its unanimous...shes a hot slut!

Hey guys! so i started tracking yesterday and i was a bit nervous about recording, showing my lyrics and explaining them to someone. Its hard to make someone else understand what i felt when i wrote them but Pelle and Eskil are really open minded and got what i was feeling right away. I never felt so confortable singing and for the first time i'm singing without being worried...

I'm sitting in the back of the room watching Pelle and Eskil getting the best out of the guys. The growing up machine is in full effect and i can see it all going one step further. Its really cool to watch it all grow together not being exactly sure of the final outcome, but as the pieces are coming together the puzzle is starting to look good. I'll let you know more tomorrow

Hey guys!!! sorry i didnt update this yesterday but we went out and got extremely wasted! So... friday me and sergio started guitar tracking. we had loads of amp options and Pelle and Eskil got us a fat guitar sound...i just trust their opinion on the sound and try hard to play the songs the best i can. Saturday we continued guitar tracking and Rui tracked some bass lines aswell...i really feel we're going through a "growing up" machine and i'm really happy with the songs. We also did a small break to watch portugal's football match...we won, so it's all good. We're feeling lots of brotherly love and we're tighter than we've ever been. It's been a great experience and I never thought i could have so much fun in an album recording and its making everything better! much love! filipe xxxxxxxx

Last night was rad!!!!!!!!!!! We went into town and it was babes galore, I didn't know which way to look, the beer was flowing and girlyz was hot. I still didnt get any but we got a week left so it's all good,I look at these as recon missions the final attack is yet to come. we' all got back safe, no casualties. Oh and props to the dudes at the rock club the other night that took Sergio and I to a cool after party!

Yesterday was the last day of drum tracking and
BUCK JORGE ( o cota) was bummed that he was done so early. So as we speak he's getting drunk and trying hard to get laid...Me and vasco came up with a cool quiet song and it was perfect to finish the day... We asked buck jorge what he thinks of the drum sound and he just said: " BADASS " like you can see in the picture! ahah

Sweden Rocks!!!!!!!!!!we've been well fed, which has totally helped me to rock out in the house of da lawrd. it's been real hot and I've been sweating buckets, at this rate I'll be the fittest dude in the band, YEaH riGHt! Any way the mosquitos love me and I cracked a big ass crash cymbal so I guess now I 've got my very own custom cymbal the jorge "crack" signature series. WOW!!!!!!! <- Don't I look hot!!!!!!!!???

Hey guys! Pelle and Eskil are amazingly cool and made us feel right at home during the past days. Jorge has done a really cool job so far and we've been smiling all the time since we heard our drum sound. We're sure the record is going to sound amazing. Sunday and Monday - Drum Setup and Sound check

So sunday we went to the place where we're recording the drums. Pelle had the idea of using an old church to track drums...wich we obviously loved, so we setup the drum kit skins, cymbals and miked it for soundcheck . We also had a small pre-production rehearsal...and went through the songs to see what was working and what wasn't, wich is something that we never done before and we're really happy with the result. We did soundcheck and rushed home to see PORTUGAL playing the world cup!! ahahah We were happy because we won but the game was shit....and we were bored after a few
minutes.

Saturday

So yesterday we spent the whole day traveling. on this photo we were waiting to get a bus to stansted airport a vasco was telling us a about this ninja.

We had a nice short flight (we'll post a cool video soon) and we arrived in Stockholm.

Catched a bus to the train station where we stayed for a while and watched the world cup.

At 9 pm we got on the train to Umea where were going to be for the coming weeks working on our album.

Hey friends! So we're still busy working on the songs and demoing everything for the record.
Gary lee at Gibson was cool enough to get us one of them Les Pauls for the album recording.

After that, me and sergio went to see the deftones! one word.... Amazing! They are for sure one of our favourite bands and now imagine seeing them in a tiny (around 1000 people capacity) venue. They played 24 songs and the show lasted around 2 hours.
We felt lucky for being there in such a special show! Cheers to Kai!

THE HOLLOW Producer update

Hey friends!
So we're happy to announce we'll be recording our album in Umea, Sweden with producer Pelle Henricsson (Refused, Poison the Well and Hell is for Heroes). We'll enter the studio on the 12th of June.

More than a Thousand - Hollow update

We thought it was about time we made an update on our website. First of all, we would like to tell you about our album. The album was done in the start of the year, in Portugal. All tracks were recorded and done. But due to a disagreement in the mixing phase those songs won't be released and the album wasn't finished.

So we're currently picking a producer to re-record The Hollow and we also used this time to write some new songs and make everything we had better or just trash it to write something new.
It's not the news we wanted to post but its the situation we're dealing with now. Bear with us, we promise it will be worth it.
